Austauschschüler aus Ossian/Indiana zu Gast
vom 12. Juni bis 5. Juli 2007

"This trip to Germany has changed my life. Not only has it been fun, I actually learned a lot about German culture and life. I really appreciate this chance to be able to make this journey and be able to come home with not only memories but with a comprehensive smile on my face. If I would have another chance to see my Germans one more time I would not have to think twice. I want to thank everyone who took part in providing me with this once-in-a-lifetime-chance." (Matthew Becker)
“ I would like to thank the entire community of Filderstadt for all their hospitality. I had a wonderful time here in Germany and I would love to come back some day. Fildorado was very cool; I really enjoyed the water slides and the wave pool. Thanks again.” (Kevin Smith)
“Germany was an excellent experience for me! I am so thankful to have had this experience. I enjoyed getting to live life differently than normal. It was interesting seeing all the differences. Driving was a big difference for me. It was interesting riding the busses, S-Bahn and trains. Overall the trip was amazing! I suggest it for everyone.” (Kierstin Imel)
“Germany was amazing! Thanks to everyone I met and my host family fo being so nice to me and my friends. Germany was very welcoming to us. Also the food, music and histoy was great. Neuschwanstein was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Thanks again, ESG, Mrs. Illi, Mr. Titz and all of Germany.” (Logan Souder)
“ I wan to say thank you to the Eduard Spranger Gymnasium for planning and taking care of our trip. The thing I enjoyed most is riding in my host’s uncle’s Porsche 911 turbo on the Autobahn. I have always wanted to be on he Autobahn with a really fast car.” (Ryan Kleppinger)
“ Thank you for organizing a great exchange. The experiences I have had here in Germany have been great. One thing I especially enjoyed was the chocolate factory because I love chocolate and it was cheap too. Once again I want to thank you for everything that you have done for us in the last 3 ½ weeks.” (Ethan Reed)
First off, I really appreciate all the work you did to organize the group trips. Although I enjoyed everything, I really liked the climbing garden in Immenstaad. I just kept thinking to myself “Why don’t we do this in the U.S. I also really enjoyed seeing what German culture is like.” (Jon Dettmer)
“Thank you for all that you have done to us over the last few weeks. I had a great time going to all the different cities and seeing all the sights. I will never forget your hospitality you showed us while we were here. Also one event I will never forget was the visit to the Ulmer Münster. The Cathedral spire we climbed was huge. Thanks again for the time and effort you have put into this trip. I truly appreciate what you have done.” (Ethan Roebuck)
“I just wanted to thank for allowing us come to Germany on this exchange. I had so much fun while I was here. I loved being around everybody and all the different places we went. I am planning on coming back and visiting everybody again.” (Adam Harris)
“ I thank you all for making this an excellent experience. I really enjoyed the slides at Fildorado, the fieldtrips and the welcoming party. I really hope ou continue this program because it helps your German and provides a new view of Germany. I want to thank all the teachers for their hard work and planning.” (Jordan Flesh)
“ Thanks for showing us your beautiful country! My host family was amazingly nice and much fun to be with. My favourite trip I went on with them was the castles of Linderhof and Neuschwanstein. My favourite castle was Linderhof and its surrounding mountains. I will always remember this wonderful adventure. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity.” (Kara Dettmer)
“Thank you for everything you have done for me. The trips were really fun. I enjoyed going to Heidelberg, Tübingen and making Bretzels at Frasch´s bakery. I also liked going to school a lot better than going to my school. Of course it helped that I wasn´t graded here. The breaks were the best part. Evertything we did was fun and I thank you for putting it all together.” (Chase Weikel)
"I would like to thank everyone that made this trip possible! It was the best time of my life! And I am sure to come back soon! I loved meeting the very nice Germans at the school and making such wonderful friends. I will forever keep in touch with them! I also want to thank my host family for their hospitality and their gracious generosity for letting me stay with them. The food was so great! I also loved sight seeing in Germany, it is so different than America, and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to see the culture and experience everything! It was a real eye-opener to me. Experiencing the German teenage life style was also a good learning experience. The GAP program allowed me to participate in this exchange in order to really improve my German in which I feel was improved a great deal, and that's the most important part. It was part of the reason I wanted to come to Germany. Now as I graduate, I plan to continue my study in German and I will come back soon to visit all my friends and to continue learning the language! Once again THANK YOU so much to everyone who has helped me on this trip in any way!" (Darik Boutsaboualoy)
